Principle #1

Attitude

Attitude is a psychological and emotional behavior that can have profound effects on your person internally and how you are perceived by your external environment.  The fundamental quality we need to possess and present is the commitment to program our minds to positivity.  Having control of your personal psyche, managing emotional intelligence, and cultivating masterful communication skills will offer the opportunity to be an influencer and leader. This improves the ability to achieve your goals and attain success.  That’s extraordinary!

“If you take any step, no matter how small it is, towards achieving your dreams then you will surely find the right path and reach the abundance that lies in store for you”

-Stephen Richards

Author

Principle #3

Relationships & Community

The single most important decision you will make in your life is the person you decide to spend your life with.  Choose wisely!  From there you will build your community and network. Relationships come in many forms. Life will offer you family, friends, work colleagues, and acquaintances. Be grateful for those around you and never take any relationship for granted. Give more of yourself than you ever expect to get in return. Discover what it means to build community. Create this thoughtfully. The more lives you touch, the more you will learn.  Each and every relationship is a vibrant world of opportunity for your personal growth, career success, and lifelong joy. That’s extraordinary!

“The business of business is relationships: the business of life in human connections.”

-Robin S. Sharma

Canadian writer, author, and leadership expert

Principle #5

Spiritual Core

Being spiritual is essential.  Whatever your beliefs, having a spiritual core allows for inner peace. Where do you turn when things feel hopeless? When it seems that everything is meaningless, how do you find meaning? A spiritual core is an anchor when it feels like storms may blow you off course. Some of us have a secure faith while others explore the traditions of the world to secure their own set of compatible beliefs and practices. Believing in something larger than yourself will prepare you for challenges that may seem overwhelming. Take the time to consider the deepest sources of your strength and nothing can defeat you.

That’s extraordinary!

“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.”

-Dalai Lama

The highest spiritual leader of Tibet

Principle #7

The Art of Giving

Above and beyond career satisfaction, there is even more to pursuing a rewarding life.  Charitable giving is an essential component of who we are as human beings and solidifies meaning in our lives. You can start small: just give of your time and your talent.  As time goes by, the gift may increase to a greater financial donation to a charity of your choosing. There are many proverbs, myths and legends supporting the principle of benevolence. The one attributed to Winston Churchill speaks volumes for what it means.  “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

That’s extraordinary!

“Your mind shines brightest when you enlighten others: your heart, when you encourage others: your soul, when you elevate others, and your life, when you empower others.”

-Matshona Dhliwayo

Canadian based philosopher, entrepreneur, and author

Principle #2

Knowledge & Wisdom

Education is an asset that has significant worth.  It cannot be depleted, and has the opportunity to be nourished and enhanced increasing its value. Life-long education should be pursued continuously.  With current technology, access to information is readily available and inexpensive to acquire. Learning as much as possible makes you both knowledgeable and more interesting to people you meet.  With the world changing so fast, knowledge about as many things as possible will increase your value, offer more opportunities, and position you to lead into the future.

That’s extraordinary!

“The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” -BB King

American blues singer-songwriter, and record producer

Principle #4

Sustainable Wealth

If you keep your financial health in check, you will alleviate one of life’s greatest stressors; that is finding yourself short on funds for necessary life essentials. How do you best prepare?  Create a budget and save a small percentage of your income for retirement. There is no time too soon to start this thinking. Live within your means. Never allow yourself to have buyer’s remorse.  Invest conservatively and it will pay you back substantially. Spend a little less today to provide more for tomorrow. Create a financial plan, budget, and stick to it. This will alleviate unnecessary stress, increase happiness, and lead you to financial freedom.

That’s extraordinary!

“Wealth like a tree, grows from a seed.  The sooner you plant that seed the sooner shall the tree grow. -George S. Clason

Soldier, businessman and writer

Principle #6

Healthy Living

Good mental health aligns with good physical health. Eat healthy and exercise regularly. Find something that is fun, whether it is being part of a team sport, or going for a walk, run or bicycle ride on your own. Exercise raises endorphins and makes you feel better. Healthy eating and regular exercise should be part of your daily routine, not something you view as a chore. Studies have shown that routine exercise and eating healthy improve your immune system, decrease the risk of illness, relieve stress, and increase longevity.

That’s extraordinary!
